be totally unwatchable

Could you help with this sentence, please.

'Jackman and Janssen are too good for the film to be totally unwatchable, but unless you're already dedicated to the X-men, The Last Stand won't be really hold up.'
Unwatchable means 'although the film isn't good the actors play well'?

Well, to answer your first question, the idea is that without the good performances of Jackman and Janssen, The Last Stand would be totally unwatchable - nobody would have the patience to sit and watch it.

You need another thread for your second question, but it looks to me as though there's a mistake in the sentence: are you sure you've transcribed it correctly?
