Please, how to express the meaning of "the beached jellyfish" in the context below?
Does the phrase imply that the wig looks like a jellyfish on the beach...?
Many thanks.

My wig slumps on my desk where I have tossed it. A beached jellyfish.

A jellyfish is not able to move or function on the beach; only in the water. So the wig sits on the desk without movement or purpose.

Also it will appear shapeless - in the water jellyfish are given shape by the bouyancy of the water, on a beach they're just a shapeless blob. So the wig is lying on the desk looking like a jellyfish on the beach - a shapeless mess.
