Hi all!
I know the following 2 options may sound unnatural, I just want to make sure whether the texts in red mean the same, can you help me with it? Thanks.
Tom was arrested for trafficking drugs.
[1] Alice, Tom's mother, has to bear the blow from her son.
[2] Alice, Tom's mother, has to bear his blow.

Did you write them yourself? Is it meant literally or figuratively? The expression is not idiomatic so it’s not obvious what you’re trying to say.
