Bearing from casting bore

New Member
I am translating a maintenance manual for a military vehicle that is used by the Army.
I need help in translating the following phrase that is located withinn the Warning summary:
"Use appropriately sized tools when removing the kingpin and bearing from casting bore, as extremely high torque must be applied to bearing."

What does "casting bore" mean?
Thank you in advance,

Here "casting" probably refers to the large piece of metal in which the bearing (an probably axle) is housed.
The "bore" is the "hole" in the center of the casting.

So another way to say it would be:
...when removing the kingpin and the bearing from the bore of the casting (cast piece of metal).

    A bad try would be:
    ...foro della colata...
