    I agree with dn88 that "beating around the bush" and "talking in circles" mean the same thing. It means that you are being evasive and not direct when speaking to someone about a topic.

    To "go around in circles" usually refers to someone who is lost or who is taking lots of extra steps/time to finish an action.

    Personally, I regard "beating around the bush" as being intentionally evasive, and while "talking in circles," can mean evasion of the point, it can also mean the speaker is totally clueless.
