beat sb on the draw

    I remember seeing this example in a dictionary, but regrettably i lost it, and I've forgoten its meaning so I'd be really greatful if you could tell me.

    Podría utilizarse de manera figurada y emplearlo en un ejemplo como el siguiente?
    I beat my brother on the draw and I got first to the kitchen and took the last chocolate ice-cream.
