becoming archaic

When somebody says "I'm becoming archaic", which interpretation would be more likely?

1 He's developing interest for archaeology.
2 He feels that he's getting old.
3 He likes the ideas of the Old Testament, e.g. "An eye for an eye".

I would assume that the person thought that the world was passing him by; i.e., that he was becoming outmoded and behind the times.

It certainly has nothing to do with archaeology.
