How do you explain the difference between begin and start?? Each time I get confused.. Let's take for example to start a conversation and to begin a conversation (??)
An other example : His interest in theatre began in 1999 v He started his own company at the age of 30.

Very good! So start is more "mettre en route" whereas begin is more "commencer"..
