    Hi, all

My Christian friend’s pastor asked her to quiet her heart before God. And she told me that “quieting one’s heart before God” could also be expressed by “being peace before God,” though the word “heart” didn’t appear in the expression. When we need to emphasize “the heart,” can the expression “being peace before God” be right? Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

"Being peace before God" is not grammatically correct. Was this friend a native speaker?

sorry, it's a typo. it should be "being at peace before God."

That doesn't sound right. I would say "being at peace with God" but that's not the same as "quieting one's heart before God."
