Being smart is not their only talent.

Smart is not their only talent.

For me, it is difficult to add "Being".
If I say
"Smart is not their only talent."
is it wrong?

    Yes, it is wrong.
Talent is a noun. In this sentence "talent" is "something". That "something" needs to be a noun because "talent" is a noun. This is why you need the gerund form of "be", which is "being" - gerunds act as nouns. And the sentence reads:

Being smart is not their only talent.
