Hi Cilquiestsuens Are you sure your browser's displaying that correctly? It's quite common for browsers not to display bengali correctly. On my screen, the i-mark ি goes before the ka, so: কি ki should appear with the ি -i before the ka. Similarly with the ে e and the ম ma: মে me. If that's how it appears, I'm afraid I'm in agreement with my good friend marrish. As I say, many browsers don't put the marks that should go before the consonant in the right place - they put them afterwards, which makes it look as though they go with the following consonant: a disaster! If I'm right in my guess that this is what's happened here, it should be obvious in the earlier sentences and the final y should have two vowel marks - the -i and the -ā? Otherwise, as I say, one of us is quite wrong!

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. I was looking for whether or not it meant the word "Kimeria". My cousin got that word in bengali tattooed on him and i wanted to know whether hegot screwed or not. I there a way to write that in Bengali?

What i mean is, is there a way to write "Kimeria" in its proper form without the extra "y"?

When i and a come together, one naturally ends up a y glide. So, you can assume that your cousin's name is written correctly in Bengali (and in Punjabi!).
