Bengali: গ্রায়

Saokat Osman's short story "দুই মুসাফির" (two travelers ) begins with the sentence "গ্রীষ্মের দুপুর গ্রায় শেষ". I cannot find the meaning of গ্রায় . I searched every online dictionnary but I can't find গ্রায় (or গ্রা ) anywhere.

Is it a conjugated verb? (but it's not the place of a verb)

I googled গ্রায় and found a few occurrences but could not infer anything.

It's just a typo for প্রায়।

Thanks Dib, I found it in a seemingly serious and thoughtful edition and my bangla is not good enough so i trusted what was written . Now it seems obvious: "it is (almost) the beginning of a summer's afternoon" ("the end of a summer's noon")

I always find the words noon and afternoon confusing in cross-linguistic contexts. In Bengali, it is দুপুর from around 11:00/12:00 to 15:00/16:00, and then বিকেল/বিকাল until about 18:00. So, the event described here plays out around 15:00/16:00.
