    Hi, guys!

There is a sentence, "... published by Zionist propaganda outlets who betray historical fact as much as any notion of academic honesty or professionalism." (Libya, Judaism, Israel & America: the Burden of Rediscovery) I want to know the meaning of "betray historical fact." Does it mean "be contrary to the historical facts"?
Essentially, yes. This is related to "betray", as meaning "to be disloyal or unfaithful". The facts are saying one thing, but the writer is disregarding what they are saying, in favor of his own interpretation.
