Between Ron Pearlman, Del Toro and the material, that could be cool.

Above is what I heard from somebody talking about a movie that's about to be made.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the way I see it,
The "that" in the sentence refers to the possibility of what could come out when the three elements were put together, Am I right?


Then would my following sentence be OK too, especially with regard to nature of the main clause following the prepositional phrase?

Between Spielberg, Clooney and the material, that could be worth catching.



Is this a silly question or what? (But it's still confusing to a non-native like me.)
