Biblical Hebrew: dagesh in Phoenician script

Were letters that have dagesh forte doubled or was it just assumed? Was it only word internally and not in places like after the article where everyone would have done it automatically?
 
  • Hebrew in the Phoenician script was written the exact same way just the letters were shaped differently.
     
    With Phoenician script I assume you mean Old Hebrew, as opposed to Hebrew square script. The former is never written with niqqud.

    I think the question wasn't about nikkud, but about whether geminated consonants were written once or twice.
