Bienveillant à l'égard de

Hi everyone!
I have a double question: I would like to translate in English "Le jury a été bienveillant à mon égard". I'm not sure about which translation of "bienveillant" I should use, and how to translate "à l'égard de".
What do you think about: "The jury was benevolent to me" ?
Thanks for your help!

I think "The jury was kind to me" would be better. Being benevolent is usually more about doing good things, but being kind is about being helpful and nice, which fits better here.
