I found the word Bigarré meaning colourful in the word ref. dict. but as had never come across before and the French person I just talked to had never heard of it, I wante to check whether it is in common usage in France before i use it!
Thanks

    Hello,

It does exist in our language, but is not very used...:) this is not a common word, it is actually more literary.

We are more likely to say "c'est très coloré", or, more informal, " c'est plein de couleurs".

Perhaps more used in the written language, but to me it is a common word.
