Jim Byrd said Chuck Barris these words along with Barris's parent marriage story:

I'm trying to think of what more I can tell you,but you have me at a bit of a disadvantage, Chuck. I don't have your files in front of me.

What is the meaning of "bit of a disadvantage"?

It means I'm not in the best position to deal with this matter right now (his specific disadvantage being that he needs the files but doesn't have them with him).

disadvantage: An unfavourable circumstance or condition that reduces the chances of success or effectiveness.
