Hello,

Just wondering how to describe a particular blend of coffee in French. The WR dictionary suggests "type," but I don't think that's quite right. I would like to describe a specific mixture of coffee, and to say something like:

"Their morning blend is really strong."
"This is a blend of several Central European coffees."

My tries:
"Leur café du matin est très forte."
"C'est un mélange de plusieurs cafés de l'Amerique Centrale."

Is there a word that could work in both cases?

Thanks!

Leur café du matin est très forte. (ou le café qu'ils prennent le matin)
C'est un mélange de cafés d'Amerique Centrale.

blend in the 1st case is used for coffee? (it is a blend of coffees?)

Yes, we can use "blend" in the first situation to refer to the coffee (although I used to work at both Starbucks and at a local independent coffee shop, so my usage of the word is perhaps...not typical, lol).

Je pense que je cherchais plûtot "séléction." Ca va bien dans les deux phrases.

    Merci bcp!
