    Hi

I played blindfold chess with my mate X.

--- Does it mean that he didn't see how he was playing, or something else?

He was playing chess while wearing a blindfold.

OK, I see. It just sounded strange to me :)

A person who plays blindfold chess doesn't look at the pieces while playing. He has a mental image of the chessboard and his opponent tells him the moves, so he can instruct someone to move the pieces for him.

My cousin is very good at this, which is why I can call him at any time, tell him the position of the pieces and ask what to do next :D
