Blond needle lace

Hello there,
Does anybody know how "blond needle lace" might be translated into Spanish. "Lace" is "encaje", but I doubt "blond" refers to the colour; perhaps a type of needle? This is in the context of someone listing the items she will need to prepare for her wedding (19th-century England). Thank you very much.

    I think it does indeed refer to the color of the lace, which would be off-white. But I'm not sure.
