Well, there is a conversation about virginity. And a girl has been asked if she was a virgin and she replied:
What do you mean by virginity? Virginity has been defined by one Canadian as having the body in the soul's keeping.

    is it enough?

    I'd call that a pretty 'threadbare' context-and-background.

Still, it might be enough for someone with a better imagination than mine.

I saw the same phrase in the other book of the same writer. There was a girl who was not married but who has a lover. And one day she was wondering if she was a good girl or a bad one. Then she remembered this quotation, and decided that since she had her body in the soul'd keeping she was all right.
    hope, this will help
