Dana Goodyear used this term a few times in her profile of presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

The term appears a few times in web searches but not in WR dictionary. First use might be in 2008. Refers to the personal assistant (man [body man] or woman) to a politician or political candidate.

    According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it's a female personal assistant to a political candidate or politician.

    It reminds me of a time when rich people had "body servants" (maids, valets etc.).
