bold and highly developed style

    Hi everyone! I'm not sure about the meaning of the word "bold" here. Does it mean "very bright or very dark; striking to the eye;"?

    the context is as follows:

    You could be right. But I think this definition might be the one intended: beyond the usual limits of conventional thought or action; imaginative.

    We need a Japanese contributor. Or someone with a Japanese tattoo.
