bother with

Hiya!

It's me again and I am still working on the essay about computers! :D
Well, some words and expressions are given that we have to build into our essay. I have managed to write a sentence with each of them, except for "bother"... After thinking for a long time, I came up with this sentence. Is it correct to use "bother with"?
For one thing, computers help us carry out complex operations within seconds, without our having to bother with calculations.
Well, this sentence sounds a bit complicated but this was the best I could think of.

Thank you for your answers in advance! :)

  • Correct.

However, bear in mind 'to bother with' is fairly informal, so I wouldn't normally use it in a formal essay about computers. Better would be 'to concern oneself with'...

Thanks for the advice! It is very kind of you! ;)
So, using "to concern oneself with", is it right to say:

For one thing, computers help us carry out complex operations within seconds, without our having to concern ourselves with calculations.
