Hello everyone!
I know that the terms "botica" and "farmacia" may vary somewhat depending on the country. In this case, the country is Peru. If someone currently runs a botica but they eventually want to turn it into a farmacia, what is the difference between them? Does a botica provide only non-prescription drugs while a farmacia provides prescription drugs? Are there other differences?
Thank you so much!
Leo
Replying to my own post, haha!
I have since done some more digging and found this: Esto debes saber sobre las diferencias entre farmacia y botica para cuidar mejor tu salud
For now, I'm inclined to refer to a "botica" as a "drugstore" and a "farmacia" as a "pharmacy."
Additional input is very welcome, though.
Thanks!
