With reference to pipe fittings, this tee is a reducing tee, but the cross bar of the T is smaller and the "vertical" is the larger diameter. So how to differentiate in French from the Té de réduction and this "Bullhead tee" ?
If anyone as an idea, thank you for your cooperation.

Bonjour Claude I don't know any nick names as your Bullhead-Tee-reductor in the french plombing vocabulary .We would use the regular metric-system indications for in and out like 40/40 or any 20/40 ,30/40 ....
But ...for sure , will be another one knowing about irrigation terms ..

Merci Nopal, malheureusement il me faut une traduction, mais j'ai eu beau tout éplucher, catalogues, dictionnaires, je ne trouve rien. Les catalogues canadiens le laissent en anglais.

A bullhead tee fitting is one of the most common fitting used in pipe and tube fitting. Bull head pipe tees are those type of pipe tees where the "branch pipe" connection is of a larger diameter than the straight through "run" connections.(...) This helps in supplying flow to smaller diameter piping in two opposite directions without the need for reducers.
