Est-ce que l'on peut écrire ? :
Je vais travailler trois heures, mais pas plus.

C'est-à-dire: I'm going to work for three hours, but no more (/ but no longer).

Why isn't it silent? Is it to do with coming at the end of the sentence or is it something else?

Hmm, maybe, I don't really know...

You know, sometimes the S must be silent, and sometimes it mustn't.

J'en veux plus → I want some more.
Je n'en veux plus → I don't want any more.

I think it must be silent whenever you use the phrase ne...plus (not anymore, no longer). If you don't, then pronounce it! :)
