Hello,

I would like to say "however, by divorcing these two concepts [which have already been mentioned in the previous sentence] from each other, these people are...". What would be the best way to say this?
"En dissociant ces deux concepts"?

    J'avoue que je n'avais jamais rencontré le verbe dans ce sens :
    To cut off; separate or disunite: an idea that was completely divorced from reality.
    => on pourrait également dire "En déconnectant ces deux concepts", mais 'dissocier' fonctionne tout autant.
