by their own free will

The following is what I ran up on today. Does 'by their own free will' means the same as 'of their own free will'?

I wholly agree with your definition of the “greater good”. I choose not to eat the vegetables that have been shoved my way, simply because I grow my own and don’t want anyone else's. I will now offer a plate of venison, which I also harvested, but I will only share with those who choose to eat by their own free will.
