Hi, I would like to ask you which expression in bold is correct:
In particular, they investigated the effects of the addition of SiC and C and high-energy ball milling of MgB2 powders on the in-field properties of MgB2 tapes fabricated by/through the ex situ route of the PIT method.

    By is correct; through is only rarely used to introduce the agent of a passive verb.
