Hi,

I'm confused about the meaning of "call a bit off the set or on the set they have cleared beautifully" in the following context:
They realize the two know that they were very popular together.Mickey Rooney was not very easy to get on with nor was Judy Garland in other different kind of ways, but they did had a kind of partnership which worked they knew it worked and they were willing to call a bit off the set or on the set they have cleared beautifully.(From a documentary Stars of the Silver Screen-Judy Garland)

Thanks very much!

Is this your own transcription, flower sophy? It contains a number of errors, and the phrase you're asking about doesn't make much sense as it stands.
