Here´s hoping you know more about wetland /marsh birds than I do .....

"Les Goles" is an area that has the largest populations of camalonga and gallo de cañal in Castellón, (Eastern Spain) ....

No Latin names. Just this.
I thought "stilt" and "moorhen", but I´m not sure...

    Hi,

I think Camalonga is "Black-winged Stilt" (Himantopus himantopus)
but I cannot help you with gallo de cañal.

    I'm back :)

Gallo de cañal (Gall de canyar) is a bad translation from the Valenciano. In Spanish is "Calamón común" and in English is Purple Gallinule (Porphyrio porphyrio)

I hope this will help you!!

Direnia, ¡estoy asombrada! Muchísimas gracias, me has ayudado un montón.
El pájaro este se llama "Purple Swamphen" or "Purple Gallinule". Vaya nombre. :)
