Hi,

I was watching a tv show when they came with this sentence:

"Can't wait till the fall when she's off to college"

I don't understand the meaning of the sentence. I really appreciate if someone could explain me that.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, Eicruzado. :)

Can you tell us the name of the TV show, who said that line, to whom it was said, and how the person who said it was related to the college student? Also, what was happening just before that?

I really appreciate the rapid answers. I was trying to translate to my native language, now it makes sense.

The dialog was of the tv show called "Modern Family":

    - It's my manager again. She's always on me.
    - Can't wait till the fall when she's off to college.
