Canvas

Hi!

I saw an ad (at the end of a newsletter) that I don't understand.

It's for a credit card, and it says "It's not just a card. It's your canvas."

What's the idea? Is it supposed to mean that the card will give you a canvas for your life, build a path for you?

Thanks.

A canvas is the surface on which a painter paints. Thus, the advertisement is saying that this credit card allows you to express the creativity of your life like an artist.

Aaah! My fault really, I knew that meaning but I didn't connect the dots. Sorry about that :/
I kept thinking about the canvas in a less ready-to-use way, more like a framework.

    Thanks a lot!
