capital vs. wealth

There is a saying "youth is capital or wealth" in Chinese, which means if you fail in youth, you can redo it, because the youth has many chances. Does English have the same or similar saying? Thank you.

There's youth must be served, which Cassell's Dictionary of Proverbs explains as:
"The young, with their natural vigour and freshness, are at a natural advantage in certain circumstances and cannot be denied."
    It dates from Lyly, 1578.
