capitale controllato

I'm looking for the English word for this business term. The word in Italian means the amount of share capital remaining that has been held from parties not in command. Or rather-

Capitale controllato = la quota residuale del capitale sociale,

detenuta dai soci non di comando.

Comprende:

a) i soci interessati alla governance ma, in quanto minoritari, esclusi di fatto dal controllo finanziario e dall’orientamento strategico di fondo delle operazioni;
b) i soci assolutamente non interessati all’amministrazione generale dell’impresa, tipicamente i piccoli risparmiatori e investitori, ai quali interessa molto realizzare la redditività del loro investimento finanziario.

    Hi,
    I've used every trick in my Google book to try to resolve this issue, and I've found nothing except for the literal translation that to me doesn't work very well.

    I did find "capitale di commando" and "capitale impiegato" (I think they are the opposite of "controllato")

    So I'll take a shot with:
    controlling shares - "di commando"
    minority shares - "controllato"
    But I can't be sure.

    At least my answer will bounce you back to the top.
