Hello,
What does a card do with it's gas?
Does a car consume gas?
Does a car need gas?
Does a car use gas?

Or how do you say as for example "My car * twice as much gas as a conventional car"?

Best Regards

    All three are possible.
Consume sounds very formal, and would not be used in routine conversation.
Does a car need gas? Yes indeed.
My car needs gas. -> The tank is nearly empty.
Does a car use gas? Yes.
My new car uses a lot less gas than the old one.

I've been wondering ~ this is sort-of on-topic ~ now that some cars are powered by actual gas rather than gasoline, how do AE speakers signal the difference?

Please be careful with your punctuations and spelling.
