— We're gonna get a lot of money from this but it ain't gonna be the kinda money that we can live like hogs in the fat house forever. I was thinkin' maybe
we could go down someplace in the South Pacific. The kinda money we're gonna have is gonna carry us a long way down there.

Pulp Fiction, movie

Is it:
1. carry us while we move towards there
1. carry us while we live there
?

Thanks.

When we are down there in the South Pacific (islands like Fiji or Bora Bora, not literally in the ocean), that money will carry us a long way because it's cheaper to live there than here.

I.e., "way" refers to "time" rather than "distance"?
The context implies that it will allow them to live well for a longer time. "Way" is a rather flexible word and we say things like "$10 won't go a long way (or won't go far) at that restaurant."
