Hello. What do you call the procedure at the end of the shift when a cash register is closed, all cash/check/credit transactions are accounted for and reconciled with the end-of-shift report? A cash register cash-out or close-out or count-down or cash-up? Thank you.

The action, done by the employee is "cashing-up"
    BE:
A: "John, do the cashing-up, would you?"
John: "Why me? I cashed up yesterday, let David do it!"

Thank you, RM1(SS). It seems that there could be an American/British English difference here.

I think probably so. When I worked with a cash register, the procedure was called closing out at the end of our shift.
