casillero judicial

Senior Member
I am looking for a better translation of "casillero judicial" than I found on here. This term is a title in a table in an adoption document from Ecuador and other titles in this table include names, last names, their participation in the hearing, e-mail and how they participated.

I am thinking of "judicial mailbox". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, again, Songbird, looking for old threads not yet answered,
This is peculiar to Ecuador where the Secretarios de las Judicaturas (Clerks of the Court) had to deliver legal process by hand all over the city. In 1978, the Supreme Court mandated the establishment and rental of mail boxes in major cities for all lawyers who practiced before the Supreme Court.

So it is a mail box for judicial communications.
