celebrate winter

Bonjour !

Would you use the word "célébrer" to translate its English equivalent in the sentence below? The context is an email to a friend explaining why I sent him a postcard.

English: It's a postcard to celebrate winter.

French: C'est une carte postale pour célébrer l'hiver.

Merci beaucoup !

A more natural form would be:
C'est une carte postale pour fêter (l'arrivée de) l'hiver

Although correct, célébrer is too pompous in this context.
