Celebrities are well-known but not always well-liked

I want to say this sentence in Arabic "celebrities are well-known but not always well-liked". I know the required vocabulary:
celebrity, famous = مشهور (ج) مشاهير
famous = شهير
well-liked = محبوب (ج) محابيب

I think "but not always well-liked" could be: لكن ليسوا محابيب دائما

But I am not sure about "celebrities are well-known" because I actually know one word for both ( مشهور ). Can you say مشاهير مشاهير = celebrities are famous? Or should I try to use another word such as شهير ?

shukran :)
