In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our school broadcast station, a ____ will be held next Monday.

Which word is more suitable for the sentence above? Ceremony Or celebration?

It depends on what's actually being held.:) A ceremony and a celebration are different things, though an overlap is possible in some situations.

Is it some sort of religious ceremony? Or is it more like a party?

I don't understand what you mean.

If you could please answer the question in my last post, we should be able to to help you decide which word to use.

I think it is more like a series of activities including a speech from an honoured guest and some stage performances.

Well, you're apparently the one who knows what's going to happen. Is this a radio station or a TV station?

It sounds more like a celebration than a ceremony. Also perhaps a "function" which is a more neutral word.
