Hi, I'm writing the lyrics for an easy-listening song. I used the word "cheeriness" because it fits well in the metrics, but as I've never seen it used, so I have the doubt that it may sound weird or old-fashioned for native speakers.

The song line goes like this:

"And we'll find our happiness, cheeriness, no more time for loneliness...."

Does it sound ok for you? Thanks for your help

In lyrics you have latitude to take liberties, but that sounds fine enough even without that excuse.
Are you sure you don't mean cheerfulness? But I suppose you like the repeated "-iness" endings, and perhaps the difference is not enough to worry about.
