I have come along a sentence while translating.... I dont understand the word yoburera. The sentence is as follows: chijimete [pokemon]to yoburera fushigina ikimonoga itaru tokoroni sunteiru

Please, if anyone can answer what yoburera means, please also translate the sentence for me... Thanks!

縮めて should be te-form of chijimeru, cause something to shrink. In the question sentence, it means Pokemon is short for Pocket monster (though the latter is not explicit in the sentence itself).

Most likely "ポケットモンスター" is missing in the sentence given by sotairosu.

I would be more comfortable with 略して (ryakushite) than 縮めて, though it's not relevant to sotairosu's question.
