I see this suffix a lot. What does it mean and what does it do? Is it an augmentative? Is it a diminutive? What does it do to the word?
Example of this are chiquillo, güerillo, blanquillo, morenillo, etc.
Thank you for your help!
Is it like "-ish"? Like white is or brownish but not really white or brown?
When I saw it and the way it was used it applied a whitish person. They were bronzed but they were white otherwise.
So could güerillo mean fairish complected?
