chose vs choose

Hi all!

"If you primarily chose answer (b), you are an indirect speaker. " (from Going Home Without Going Crazy)

Should the pink word be replaced with "choose"?

    They are different tenses. chose (past) and choose (present). Assuming this is the summary at the end of a multiple choice quiz, then 'chose' is correct as the reader has already completed the quiz.
