classi alla base della tecnologia

Ciao a tutti,

"the project aimed to create a program in J2ME my means of MIDlets' programming, which are Java classes at the base of Sun Microsystem technology"

The final thesis involved a program written in J2ME by way of MIDlets, which are Java classes in the Sun Microsystem technology.

    Tim,

Could these be low-level Java classes in the underlying Sun Microsystem operating system? The Sun operating system is based on a multi-level model, working its way up to very high level system calls at the user interface. I think we are talking here about a program written at a very low level, interfacing with the core of the Sun OS.

    What do you think?

    I agree 100%.
Probably well-defined lower level Java classes (subroutines in "old" lingo that I grew up on:))used to build more complex code.

But I'm just not sure of the entire context, whether is is just referring to "Sun Microsystem company" or the core code of Sun Micro.

I tried to leave it general as much as possibile.

In the meantime, I have seen that MIDlets are a set of Java classes used for pervasive applications.

So I think that classi Java alla base della tecnologia simply means that the MIDlets are the Java framework provided by Sun technology for developing this types of applications.

vale_ca, agreed, but in the context of a CV, one would like to emphasize a competence in writing low-level Java classes, because generally this is more difficult and requires specialized knowledge that would make someone more valuable as a candidate employee. You need to be forward and bold in your CV (my opinion).

This is the way I would write it in a CV if I were looking for a job: (I use "writing a program" rather than "a program written" to emphasize that the candidate wrote the program himself) (I added "advanced" just to add a little punch to this guy's CV)

The final dissertation/thesis involved writing a program in J2ME by way of MIDlets, which are low-level Java classes that support building advanced applications in the Sun Microsystem operating environment.
