I prefer eating at home to eating out because home cooked meals are more sanitory/clean/hygienic than restaurant meals.(????)

or

I prefer home cooked meals to restaurant meals because they are cheaper, they have more clean ingreidents and they are cheaper.

I don't think that a meal or ingredients would be described using any of the red wordsyou offer.
The kitchens and equipment of a restaurant may not be very clean, or sanitary, or hygienic - or the ingredients may not be as fresh, or of as good quality, as at home.

    Clean just means clean.
Sanitary tends to mean actively good for your health than just hygienic.
Hygienic is probably a better word as it tends to mean is routinely cleaned.

    Hi bosun,

I prefer eating at home to eating out because I can be certain that home-cooked meals are more hygienic.

I prefer home-cooked meals to restaurant meals because they are cheaper and probably have fresher ingredients.
